  • To put it mildly, they were awesome! They were able to accomplish in a few weeks what had taken us over a year to figure out. They built a system that not only creates beautifully designed health insurance proposals, but has actually increased the efficiency of our Marketing Support staff by 300%. And that's being conservative.

    They also helped us map out our HotDocs network strategy and gave us several tips on reducing downtime. Upon completion, the system (which is composed of over 200 templates…) has been working beautifully. After 6 months in production, I think I can count the number of problem calls that I've had on two hands. We love it…!

The fourth day we discussed several miscellaneous matters and then we tried to develop a template from scratch with our trainer's assistance. Our trainer was an excellent teacher and taught in a logical manner so that each task built upon the prior one. She was well prepared; and, if it appeared that we did not get the concept, she went over it until we understood it. She was formerly a real estate paralegal and therefore speaks our language. She was totally devoted to us for the 4 days she was here and came in to my office before and after training to help me with specific problems I was having with HotDocs on my PC. Although we knew the program was going to be very beneficial to our loan documentation process, we did not have the IT resources available nor the knowledge or experience to do the programming -- which is the key to success. DDS provided us with that expertise at extremely reasonable pricing. With DDS's help we were able to program over 500 loan documents (including a very sophisticated clause library) for use by several of our business groups. Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld has been working with Document and Data Solutions since September of 1999 to develop HotDocs templates for various practice sections of the Firm and implement them firmwide. I serve as Global Project Manager for the HotDocs project at the Firm and have been working very closely with DDS on all aspects of HotDocs development and implementation.

    I have had the opportunity to interact with various members of DDS, from executive officers of the company to programmers. Moreover, Bethany has been of tremendous assistance to me; in the time that she has been in our Dallas office, I have needed to spend very little time and effort in overseeing various aspects of HotDocs implementation.
